Hello Rainbow tribe and Happy 2025.
It seems I have only managed to get up and running with my Newsletter again just as we enter the Chinese New Year of the Wood Snake.
More on that in a bit.
I have had a 2-month sabbatical from my Newsletter writing and I have missed it.
I am bursting with topics I am eager to discuss and share with you that have been ruminating and brewing within me these last few months.
Life has, as usual been crazy busy.
I hear myself and most people say things like, ‘when life slows down’, ‘when I am less hectic’, ‘after the holidays are over, then I will…’, ‘after the kids are back and school, I can…’.

But the truth is there will always be crazy busy and it is up to us to find out where and when we can tap out for a bit.
I, like you, am just trying to figure it out.
But since we last spoke, I have moved house and town again, and am back in my old house and town.
I have successfully instituted some healthy holiday boundaries (so proud, as this was no small feat for me) and perhaps the biggest fundamental change for me is that all of my children went into boarding school.
As a single mom, one who is very identified with the job of being supermom (when I am wearing my cape anyway) it has been a HUGE shift for me.
And positive for the kids.
Though it may be good for me too, it has been a lot.
And so, this newsletter will be restricted to some 2025 news, regarding themes and such, and from next month some of my more enquiring and curious mind topics.
Thank you so much for being a part of my tribe.
I do want to keep writing and sharing what feels relevant for you.
I so appreciate the feedback and am looking to get more info from you moving forward.
2025
The year of…
The Hermit in the tarot because 2+0+2+5 = 9 and the Hermit is the 9th card in the Major Arcana.
So, let’s start with the numerology of it all.
We are in a collective 9 year, which is the end of a cycle.
There will be much tying up and completions of projects, relationships, jobs, etc.
9 is also a good energy for humanitarianism and giving back. Thinking of the collective as we culminate a 9-year cycle that ultimately leads us back to self and the 1 vibration of next year

I wanted to give you a quick synopsis on how to figure out what your personal year is and what that may mean for you, within the greater theme of the 9 year.
To work out your personal year (will use myself as an example) you take your birth day and month and the current year 18 06 2025 and add them together 1+8+6+2+0+2+5 =24.

Reduce to a single number 2+4 = 6 This means I am in a personal year 6.
Nutshell explanation of numbers 1 – 9
1 – a year for initiating things, uniqueness, independence and individuality. Caution is needed with selfishness and aggression. 1 lead’s but be a leader others will follow with respect not fear.
2 – a year for co-operation with others, listening, may be hyper sensitive or moody. Maintain your boundaries as this is a very caring supporting energy and if you over extend you can’t help others.
3 – if you are in a 3 personal year, tap into the self-expressive creative energy. Break outside of your box, speak up and see what unfolds. Watch not to lose focus, planning and prioritizing are not 3 traits.
4 – is a year of dedicated work, practical, organized and determined forward movement. It may be hard in a 4 year to go with the flow, or to think outside the box, like you did last year.

5 – if you are in a 5 year it is time for freedom and adventure. A year of networking, social expansion and communication. Try to be patient with those who are not as expansive as you and watch yourself for commitment issues.
6 – you are in a responsible caregiving role this year. You may struggle to say no and may want to give more than you receive. It will be a good year to bring family or work colleagues together, healing old hurts.
7 – Big spiritual growth year for you, 7 is the number of the contemplative truth seeker. Try to be open minded, patient and tolerant as the way you see the world is likely to be shifted this year.
8 – the number of the business minded leader. It is a lucky number and a powerful number to bring about abundance and prosperity. Don’t forget to balance the material (8) and the spiritual (7) in your life.
9 – Service oriented this year; you will do well taking up some compassionate humanitarian type project. You will feel generous and have a great desire to leave the world better than you found it. Be mindful of forgiveness this cycle.
Now that you have a sense of your own annual numerological vibration and that of 2025, we can layer the tarot card of the year in.

The Hermit card, is the 9th stepping stone on the hero/heroin’s journey.
Each step leads to the next one, but don’t lose the lessons that went before. Also worth noting that you can be at different steps on different journeys within your life.
Remember this is symbolic, not literal.
Though there are 22 cards in the Major Arcana I am going to do a tiny synopsis of 0 – 10 for you now.
0 the Fool – we start the hero’s journey as the fool. Keywords; adventure, impulsive, reckless, naivete, take a risk, leap of faith, new beginnings, follow your dreams
1 the Magician – now we begin to recognize we have all the elements within us to alchemize our lives…but how to use them is the question. Keywords; natural or latent talents, skill, creativity, manipulation, power of manifestation
2 the High Priestess – to understand what lies within us we need to tune in. Keywords; intuition, insight, dreams, repressed feelings, fear of intuition and emotions, seeing beyond the 5 senses, inner knowledge
3 the Empress – time to embody what we are learning to innerstand (understanding that comes from listening within). Keywords; fertility or infertility, Mother Earth, creativity, overprotective, over dependent, motherhood, sexuality, the divine feminine
4 the Emperor – now I am ready to take action to get what I want. Keywords; authority, authority issues, leader, unchecked desire for control and power, father figure, divine masculine, structure and strategy, responsible

5 the Hierophant – we must balance the physical with the spiritual. Keywords; spiritual vs ego-based leadership, traditions, seeking personal truths, rebelling from outdated systems and societal norms, counseling, belief systems holding to or shifting, seeking enlightenment
6 the Lovers – humans need to connect and within relationship so much is mirrored back to us. Keywords; romantic love and issues around it, imbalanced partnerships, communication breakdown, duality, healthy boundaries, friendship
7 the Chariot – now we harness and unite the opposing energies. Keywords; leadership, willpower, drive, lack of willpower or drive, focus, speed, don’t speed past the needs of others, confidence, travel, success
8 Strength – sometimes we only know our strength when faced with our vulnerabilities. A need to feel the fear and do it anyway. Keywords; courage, grace, leadership, self-destructive impulses, strength of character, calm and confident
9 the Hermit – time to pause and reflect, are you aligned on your path? Keywords; meditation, time out from the chaos to find your inner light and insight, hermiting, lonely or alone, solitary vs isolated
10 the Wheel – a spin of the wheel and we leave it to chance, what season do the fates have in store for us? Keywords; a turning point, a lucky break or a season of tough breaks, time for a change, accepting the season you are in, working with the literal seasons
The Hermit is sandwiched between having been forced to face challenges that gifted us the ability to find out just how strong we are.
In 2024 we had to face fears, vulnerabilities and feelings of being disempowered in order to step into our power and grow. It was a Strength year.
Now we need to check in, do we need to keep pushing though our own fear barriers or check our new found power if it is getting out of control.
Do we need to keep seeking externally or can we find our inner light and our insight?
This is a good year for a mentor to help you find the inner mentor.
I love to say I am the mentor/guide from the side, you are sage on your stage.
And the Hermit teaches us to be sage on our stage.
And the other slice of the sandwich, in 2026 is the wheel, which shows us that as we reach a level of being the wise sage, the wheel will spin and we again find ourselves the student, with ever more and new lessons to learn.
That is life, that is growth and that is healthy.

The year of the Wood Snake
Chinese New Year, being a lunar calendar, begins on the Aquarius New Moon every year and This year that happened to also be the 1st New Moon of 2025.
We leave the year of the Dragon and step into the sign of the Snake (little dragon as it can be known).

There are 5 elements in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Fire, Metal, Wood, Water and Earth. And there are 12 animals, so a full cycle of the Chinese zodiac takes 60 years.
The snake is a such a rich and fascinating symbol across cultures since forever.

At the risk of getting too long winded I will just remind you that the medicine of snake is about shedding, allowing yourself to outgrow the skin that no longer fits you so you can become the next best version of you.
Snake also symbolizes healing, transformation and growth. With it being a Wood Snake year, it expands the energy of growth.
Look at where the lessons of the numerology, tarot and Chinese zodiac intersect.
Also get curious if any of these themes have already been present for you, before you even read this.
Endings and Beginnings
If I had a dollar for every time the theme endings and beginnings came through in readings last year!
In retrospect I think it was just prepping us for this year.
Pisces is the very last sign of the Western Zodiac and Aries is the very first.
This year there are a crazy amount of planets and points activating into the last few degrees of Pisces and first few degrees of Aries.
If you have planets or points in your natal chart around 25° Pisces to 5° Aries, it is going to be life changing. And if you don’t, is may be a little quieter but it is going to impact.
Look also for the house/s in your chart that these fall.
(book a consult if this resonates as important for you but sounds like Greek)
I am going to try and simplify what is coming though this area, it but also mention the astrology for those who understand it.

Late Jan – North Node moved backwards (which is how it moves) from 0° Aries into 29° Pisces (happens every 18/19 years)
Our collective destiny right now is to learn who we are as individuals, and to be responsible and accountable only for ourself (Aires) so that we can develop a world and community where each of us is our best self within the whole (Pisces).
This will link to the Eclipses happening in these signs too.
Late Jan – Late Apr -Venus Retrograde and Shadows crossing Pisces to Aries three times (Venus last retrograded here in 2017)
It is time for me to find my new dreams and ideals and recognize what I have outgrown and need to leave behind (Pisces) and then I need to be a warrior for said dreams and ideals, and fight for what is most valuable for me and for the world (Aries)
All year Neptune is at the end of Pices and beginning of Aries (Neptune takes 150 years to get back to the start of the zodiac)
Humanity is completing a huge cycle and we are in the birth canal, having floated in the womb and dreamed of all the potential that I am (Aries) and that we are (Pisces) it is now full-blown labour. We are being squeezed so tight, crowning and then labour slows, like it will never be over…it is so intense, and we will be in full blown labour until the final entry of Neptune into Aries late Jan of 2026. It is a process, conserve your energy, nourish yourself, breathe.

1 Mar – 26 Apr – Mercury retrogrades three times over Pisces and Aries (Mercury last retrograded here in 2012)
What stories have we been told, have they indoctrinated us into belief systems that no longer feel valid?
(Pisces) Do I have the courage to break away from the pack and be more authentic to how I think and feel, rather than what I have been told to think and feel? (Aries)

All year Saturn is at the end of Pices and beginning of Aries (Saturn takes 28-30 years to get back to the start of the zodiac)
Saturn and Neptune are very different and they will dance here together, Saturn all stiff and formal and Neptune graceful and unphased by the opinions of others, make for unusual dance partners.
This may feel like and internal conversation or like you embody one side of the conversation and someone in your life embodies the other. It also may play out before your eyes in your community or on the world stage. Sticking to my dance partner analogy, an example of the type of narrative may look like this.

Nep: Saturn darling, loosen up, lighten up for goodness’ sake, you cannot dance with that stick up your ar…
Sat: Neptunia, do not use fowl language, it is not proper. I agreed to do this dance competition with you because something has to be done to change things and the prize money will allow me to keep building. But I cannot be all loosey goosey like you!
Nep: Oh darling you are so rigid…and likely frigid

Sat: a cold and silent stare, that would freeze Neptunia in her layers of glorious organza, if she cared what he thought.
Nep: laughing too loudly as she applies more glitter than anyone needs, ever. Just relax, tap into your juicy creative flow, you silly boy.
Sat: Firstly, I have not been referred to as a boy for eons, literal eons. I am old father time and you know it. Secondly when has anyone ever relaxed when being told, ‘just relax’? Now, you listen to me, we will dance with structure and the rules of the dance, stay on beat and please remember the choreography and DO NOT go off book!!
Nep: ‘literal eons’ she mimics and giggles. Never fear darling, I am painfully aware that you are always literal and have no imagination. And have you forgotten that your ‘strict boundaries’ do not work on me? But we can agree that we both want to fight to win this comp. Perhaps if I get a little drunker I may allow myself to follow your lead.
Sat: Oh Tunia, I think it is more drunk. And if you get anymore drunk you won’t be able to stand up straight let alone hold your form in the dance! But we do both want the best for humanity so what if we both compromised a little.
They take a tentative step towards one another, what comes next is anybody’s guess.
