This doesn’t fit me anymore… does it?

If you know anything about the sign of Gemini, you’ll know the internal dialogue is very real. Nothing in my head is a monologue — there are always at least two parts of me having a conversation.

This and that… both/and…

Interesting.

How puzzling.

What a curious idea.

Just imagine…

A busy place, my mind.

It’s also a big part of how I found mindfulness. Shifting from mind-full to mindful is a practice I return to again and again.

Anyway, enough about my headspace — and learning how to ride its waves of brilliance without getting dumped by its anxiety.

Uranus moves into Gemini on April 27th, beginning a seven-year cycle of change, disruption, innovation and paradigm shifts.

We got a small taste of this energy between July and November last year.

If astrology is your thing, it may be worth looking at where Gemini sits in your chart, what planets or points live there, and the condition of Mercury, Gemini’s ruler.

And if that feels like another language entirely — don’t worry.

Old stories are rising loudly

The bigger theme is something I’ve been noticing in myself, my clients, and many friends lately.

Old stories are rising loudly. Sometimes aggressively.

They feel familiar… but also deeply uncomfortable.

As though they simply don’t fit anymore.

And I wonder if that’s the gift.

Almost like life is showing us old patterns one more time so we can see just how much we’ve actually changed.

The recurring themes I’ve noticed most are:

  • I am not enough / I am too much

  • Poverty consciousness

  • Imposter syndrome

I’m sure there are many others surfacing too.

I’ve been working hard to feel financially stable and safe. For years, I’ve worked to untangle the poverty mindset that runs through parts of my family tree.

I’ve spent many moons learning to unclench my fists and trust the flow of resources.

Sometimes that has felt expansive.

Sometimes it has felt like forced positivity.

And sometimes I’ve failed entirely — slipping back into contraction, fear, pain and anxiety.

But slowly, I’ve learned to trust more often than not.

Then the Universe handed me what felt like a giant exam paper filled with financial challenges.

My body clenched.

My breathing became shallow.

A migraine arrived.

Panic left its familiar scent all over me.

Before I knew it, I was back on the old treadmill — running hard and getting nowhere.

And I recognised the taste of it immediately.

Like trying to squeeze myself back into skinny jeans from 1999

Familiar? Yes.

Comfortable? Absolutely not.

It took me a moment to realise I’d been triggered into an old pattern.

And after a brief visit from another old friend — self-berating — I realised something important:

Those jeans may once have been favourites, but they are no longer my style.

I am not that woman anymore.

Would I really want to be the younger version of myself again?

The one who hadn’t yet had children… survived heartbreak… lived through a thousand ordinaryI have become a woman who is real.

A younger version of me may still long to be perfect, but I remind her often:

She is perfectly imperfect.

I am softer now.

Softer in the curves of my body.

Softer in my skin.

Softer in how I speak to myself.

Softer in how I move through the world.

And I needed to write this as a reminder — for both of us.

I may be too much for some people.

Too weird.

Too witchy.

Too wonderful.

But I am exactly right for me.

I am more than enough for the people who truly love me.

And if I’m not your cup of tea, that’s okay too.

I cannot be an imposter if I’m not trying to impersonate anyone.

If I am radically myself — in all my nuance, contradiction, magic and mess — then I am living in coherence with my blueprint. and extraordinary moments that shaped who I am today?

Absolutely not.

I have become a woman who is real.

Like my skin, I continue to adapt and change.

We reinvent from the inside out.

There’s a story in every scar.

A memory in every wrinkle.

Wisdom in every crease.

And honestly?

I have a charmed life.

If you’re here in human form, so do you.

We chose Earth school to experience all of this — the heartbreak, beauty, mess, wonder and transformation.

And I fully intend to take every class and extracurricular on offer.

Do I get extra credit for breaking generational patterns, learning to regulate my own mind, radical open-heartedness and wild vulnerability?

I hope so.

What extra credit are you working on?

Because while this is deeply personal, I know I’m not alone.

I’m seeing similar themes everywhere.

This feels like a moment where we revisit the old so we can move more intentionally toward the new.

Growth is rarely linear. It’s a dance.

And sometimes we need to look backward to fully understand how far we’ve already come.

So tell me — what old story keeps knocking at your door lately?

What pattern, belief or version of yourself feels ready to be released?

Hit reply and let me know — I’d genuinely love to hear what’s surfacing for you.

And if you’re standing at that tender threshold between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming, and would like some support navigating it, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you through an astrology reading, energy session, or intuitive guidance session.
